Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: September 19, 2026  |  Last Updated: September 19, 2026

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of atlantic-heatingcooling.com and any HVAC, plumbing, or sewer services provided by Atlantic Mechanical Contractors of North Jersey (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By visiting our website, requesting an estimate, or scheduling service with us, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of this document, please do not use our website or services. We may update these terms periodically, and continued use of our site or services means you accept the current version.

Our Services

We provide residential and commercial heating, air conditioning, plumbing, sewer and drain, water heater, and bathroom remodeling services throughout North New Jersey, including areas such as Clifton and Wayne. Services include repair, installation, replacement, and preventative maintenance performed by our licensed technicians. Specific work is scoped and priced individually based on the diagnosis made at your property. Descriptions of services on our website are for general informational purposes and may not reflect every option available for your specific situation.

Licensing and Compliance

Atlantic Mechanical Contractors of North Jersey operates under HVAC License #19HC00532500 and Plumbing License #10110, and all work is performed in accordance with applicable New Jersey codes and regulations. Our technicians are trained and, where required, individually licensed or supervised by a licensed professional. We pull permits and schedule inspections when the scope of work requires them. You may request proof of licensing and insurance at any time.

Estimates and Pricing

Estimates provided over the phone, online, or in person are based on the information available at the time and may change once a technician physically inspects the equipment or property. Final pricing is confirmed before work begins, and any changes discovered mid-job (such as hidden damage) will be communicated to you for approval before we proceed. Emergency and after-hours service may carry additional rates, which will be disclosed before dispatch. All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Scheduling and Appointments

We do our best to honor scheduled appointment windows, but arrival times may shift due to traffic, emergency calls, or the complexity of a prior job. For 24-hour emergency service, our typical arrival window is communicated when you call, though actual response times can vary based on demand and weather conditions. You are responsible for providing safe and reasonably clear access to the work area. Repeated missed appointments or unsafe site conditions may result in rescheduling fees or a decline of service.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the work unless other arrangements, such as approved financing, have been made in advance. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods disclosed at the time of booking, processed through secure third-party payment providers. Financing, where offered, including 0% promotional plans, is subject to credit approval and the separate terms of our financing partner. Unpaid balances may accrue late fees and may be referred to collections as permitted by New Jersey law.

Warranties and Guarantees

Workmanship on completed repairs and installations is covered by the warranty period stated on your invoice or service agreement, which varies by the type of work performed. Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment are provided and honored separately according to the manufacturer's own terms. Our warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, unrelated pre-existing conditions, or repairs performed by another contractor. To make a warranty claim, contact our office with your original invoice or job number.

Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate information about the issue you are experiencing and safe access to the equipment, utilities, and work area involved. Please secure pets and clear valuables from the work zone before our technicians arrive. If permits, HOA approval, or landlord consent are required for the requested work, obtaining them is your responsibility unless we specifically agree to handle it. Failure to provide safe or lawful access may delay service or void certain warranty protections.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a non-emergency appointment by contacting our office as far in advance as possible. Cancellations made with little notice, or missed appointments where our technician arrives and cannot gain access, may incur a trip or diagnostic fee. Emergency dispatches that are cancelled after a technician has been sent may also be billed for the dispatch. We will always communicate any applicable fee before it is charged to your account.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Jersey law, Atlantic Mechanical Contractors of North Jersey is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services, including lost time, lost income, or secondary property damage not directly caused by our workmanship. Our liability for any claim related to services performed is limited to the amount you paid for the specific job in question. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, such as liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Insurance and Property Damage

We carry general liability insurance covering damage directly caused by our technicians' work. Any claim for property damage should be reported to our office promptly, with photos and details, so we can investigate and coordinate with our insurer as needed. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear from aging systems, or issues unrelated to the scope of work performed. Claims are evaluated on a case-by-case basis in line with our insurance policy terms.

Website Use and Intellectual Property

All text, images, logos, and other content on atlantic-heatingcooling.com are owned by us or used under license and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without our written permission. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use related to hiring our services. You agree not to use automated tools to scrape or copy content from our site, or to use the site for any unlawful purpose. Manufacturer and brand logos displayed on our site remain the property of their respective owners.

Online Reviews and Testimonials

Reviews and testimonials shown on our website or social media reflect the individual experiences of the customers who submitted them and are not guarantees of the results you will receive. We do not alter the substance of reviews we choose to display, though we may edit for length or remove personal contact information. If you believe a review about your service is inaccurate, please contact us so we can look into it. Submitting a review grants us permission to display it on our website and marketing materials.

Third-Party Links and Partners

Our website may link to manufacturer sites, financing partners, municipal resources, or social media platforms that we do not control or operate. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of these third-party sites. Interactions with financing partners, such as credit applications, are governed by that partner's own terms and conditions. Visiting a linked site is done at your own discretion and risk.

Dispute Resolution

If a disagreement arises about work performed or charges billed, please contact our office first so we can attempt to resolve the matter directly. Most concerns can be addressed through a follow-up visit, adjusted invoice, or warranty repair at no additional cost to you. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, and any legal proceedings will take place in the appropriate courts of Passaic County or as otherwise required by law. Nothing here waives any right you have under New Jersey consumer protection statutes.

Emergency Service Disclaimer

Our 24/7 emergency line is intended for urgent HVAC, plumbing, and sewer issues such as burst pipes, no heat, or complete system failure. While we prioritize rapid response, actual arrival times depend on technician availability, weather, traffic, and the volume of concurrent emergency calls. In situations posing an immediate safety risk, such as gas leaks or flooding beyond our control, you should also contact the appropriate utility company or emergency services. We are not liable for damage that occurs while awaiting our arrival.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time to reflect changes in our services, pricing practices, or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page along with a revised effective date, and material changes affecting active agreements will be communicated directly where practical. Continuing to use our website or requesting services after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
