What Is Central Heating?

A central heating system provides warmth to the whole building (or portion of a building) from one point to the other. When combined with other systems in order to control the building temperature, the whole system may be an HVAC system based. It is mostly used in cold climates to heat a building or building(s), although most modern commercial buildings including office buildings and hotels provides some form of central heat. There are many different types of central heating systems in the market, most of which comprise of a central boiler. The main difference between central heating local heating is that with central heating, the heat generation occurs in one place, such as a furnace room in a house or a mechanical room in a large building. The most common method to generate heat involves the combustion of fossil fuel in a furnace or boiler. The resultant heat then gets distributed: typically by forced air through ductwork, by water circulating through pipes, or by steam fed through pipes.”
